The Daily Telegraph reports that a dog named Leala from New South Wales, Australia, found young Alexander Kenny drowned in a neighbour's sink.

Leala immediately jumped into the pool to save the little master, but couldn't pull Alexander out of the water. Drenched, Lila rushed into the house and informed Alexander's father, David.

During the 27-minute wait for the ambulance, the family tried to save Alexander's life by doing repeated breathing exercises.

"It was a scene I didn't want to see, I couldn't believe my eyes, it was scary and painful, it was an indescribable emotion, and then everything became a blur," Mr David said.

Alexander's mother, Lisa Brockbank, was on her way home when she saw an ambulance honking.

"I don't think it was my child, I don't think the car had anything to do with my family, then I saw a helicopter, police and an ambulance turn up and my son was lying there unconscious. "she says.

At the hospital, doctors advised Kenny's family to prepare for something bad to happen, as Alexander suffered brain damage. However, the boy made an amazing recovery 48 hours later. The doctors said that this was thanks to the quickness of the respiratory emergency, especially the timely warning of the Leala dog.
