Top 8 adorable moments and how to take care of chihuahuas

Welcome to my blog.

 Chihuahua!

Possessing a graceful appearance, of course their personality is also quite coy.

Chihuahuas have a very high need for care and affection from their owners. They are always attached to their owners. In addition, the Chihuahua is an exceptionally intelligent and loyal dog. With a pet-loving personality like this, how to raise Chihuahua dogs also needs to be methodical from an early age, avoiding the "too spoiled afternoon" that makes them stubborn and disobedient.

Guide to raising Chihuahua dogs Diet, hygiene, care, and even how to raise a newly born Chihuahua are special notes that you need to cultivate to own a healthy dog. Check out the details below!

1. Diet

It can be said that this is a rather difficult dog to take care of. How to raise Chihuahua dogs requires meticulousness and care, especially in terms of diet.

With their microscopic body, they are quite sick because they do not store much fat in the body. You can refer to the following portions and how to choose dog food to ensure your dog can grow up to be the healthiest.

First, you need to choose foods that have a high nutritional content but are easy to digest. Vegetables, tubers and fruits are extremely necessary in meals. In addition, they can eat chicken, duck eggs / animal organs.

Do not allow Chihuahuas to eat industrial foods or chocolate. From 1-3 months old, you should divide meals. Usually with this stage eating 4 meals / day is reasonable. From 3-6 months old, at this time you reduce the food for them to 3 meals / day.

However, remember to observe and only change when your dog is really ready. In the period over 6 months old, the way to raise Chihuahua dogs is like other dog breeds, Chihuahuas are almost fully developed. 2 meals/day is enough, but pay attention to the amount of food they eat in each meal. Avoid getting them too hungry/too full.

If you have multiple dog breeds, it's best to give each dog a separate meal. Because Chihuahua's digestive system is not as good as other species, so they eat very slowly

2. Cleaning for Chihuahua

In essence, Chihuahuas are "endowed" with a natural, soft, shiny coat. If the weather is cool, normal, you only need to give them a bath once a week. If on hot days / they are too active, you can bathe them twice a week. Don't forget to clean your dog's teeth regularly.

3. Health check and vaccination

Like other dog breeds, starting from 2 months of age or older, you should take them for regular check-ups and vaccinations at reputable veterinary care facilities. Deworming your Chihuahua is essential. In the first 3 months, you deworm them once a month. From the 4th month onwards, you reduce it to every 3 months.

Chihuahua dogs under 3 years old often have low blood sugar. The reason is because they do not eat enough meals or the diet is not enough energy / nutrients for the body. This disease is very easy to happen even if you just forget to feed them 1 or 2 meals.

The solution to this disease is nothing but you need to take your dog to the veterinarian immediately to avoid complications or unfortunate situations. Some manifestations of hypoglycemia disease in Chihuahua dogs are: body fatigue, lethargy, sluggish eyes, even loss of consciousness.

Hopefully, you can gain more confidence to conquer these "luxurious" and difficult-to-please dogs. If you have any problems you have in the process of raising them, please comment below this article so that Petroom and you can "troubleshoot". Good luck!😇😇😇
